Humboldt County residents can vote to help choose the name of the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office's new K-9 deputy.

Residents can choose from "Red," "Knox," "Denali" and "Uno," and have until Monday, Dec. 13, to vote on their favorite name here.

The names were submitted by HCSO staff and were inspired by our Humboldt community.
▪️ Red (as in REDwoods)
▪️ Knox (Knox Cove, McKinleyville)
▪️ Denali (Meaning “The Great One”)
▪️ Uno (A game name, to complement our current K9, Yahtzee)

"Check out our story for a sneak peek at our new K9 Deputy," a HCSO Facebook post reads. "Voting is still open to name this guy! Be sure your vote counts by using this link to vote."
