Copter 102 went off the radar in this area which indicates they had dropped into a valley and were likely close to those needing help.
About 7:30 this morning, scanner traffic indicated that there was a rescue ongoing southeast of Blue Lake. We were unable to ascertain the reason for the rescue but Chopper 102 has been dispatched to the area and is attempting to locate the distressed individuals. The area is foggy.

At 9:04 a.m., a first responder said they had located the incident and there were two patients.

We’ve requested more information from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and from Cal Fire (the helicopter belongs to that agency.) If we get more information, we’ll update.

UPDATE 10:02 a.m.: A patient was picked up by the helicopter and taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Eureka. Our photographer was there and caught photos of the incident. We’ll update with them soon.
