The Humboldt County Coroner's Office has identified a body found Feb. 24 on Centerville Beach as that of Jeremy Dimitri Vlahos, 37, of Eugene, Oregon. Vlahos was found wearing a shirt with the words “HumboldtANARCHO, STATE FREE- HA TE FREE – FIGHT BIGOTRY.” The sheriff's office released a photo of the shirt on May 7 with the hopes it would help identify the body. According to the press release, this helped family members identify Vlahos, and the identification was then confirmed using DNA.

Vlahos' cause of death was determined as drowning; the sheriff's office has asked for anyone with additional information to please come forward.

The Humboldt County Coroner’s Office has identified the body of a man found on February 24, 2018 on Centerville Beach as that of 37-year-old Jeremy Dimitri Vlahos of Eugene, Oregon.

Vlahos was reported missing to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office on March 4, 2018. Wording on the t-shirt Vlahos was wearing when located allowed family to identify him as possibly their missing loved one. Vlahos’ identity was confirmed using DNA.
