Wondering what to do with your Veterans Day? How about a night at the movies honoring those who've served while helping kids in need? At 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, the Eureka Theater is joining up with Toys for Tots to show Red Tails (2012), the World War II action drama about the Tuskegee Airmen, an all-African American fighter pilot squadron that fought in the European theater. And you can get in for free. Just bring a new toy to donate to help local children in need and you're good. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the bar will be serving beer, wine and the usual candy and popcorn, all benefitting the Eureka Theater's restoration. (Look at you supporting another good cause.)
Red Tails
Directed by Anthony Hemingway, it stars Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr., David Oyelowo, Leslie Odom Jr., Andre Royo and Michael B. Jordan. Check out the preview below and decide if you need to bring tissues. (Spoiler: You will.)
