Straight Up AmeriCorps Program of Redwood Community Action Agency (RCAA) celebrates and honors 50 AmeriCorps members for their year long commitment to serve disadvantaged youth in Humboldt County schools and community centers. Alex Reid, Director of Donor Services with the Humboldt Area Foundation, and a commissioner to the new cabinet-level State Office for Service & Volunteerism will act as the keynote. Members will receive certificates of appreciation from the offices of Assembly Woman Patty Berg, Rep. Mike Thompson, and the Corporation for National and Community Service.
