Redwood Coast Rural Action hosts the Fourth Annual Broadband Forum from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. at River Lodge in Fortuna. This year’s event entitled, Rural Connections: From Grassroots to Treetops: Getting Broadband to All of the Redwood Coast will be attended by community leaders from Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino and Trinity Counties.

The Keynote Speaker is Susan Walters, Senior Vice President of the California Emerging Technology Fund. The Forum also features presentations from policy makers, leaders in technology development and local members of the Governor’s Broadband Task Force.

Broadband access plays a critical role in the economic and social health of our region. This forum is intended to help develop strong public/private partnerships and collaborate to expand rural broadband to all residence of the Redwood Coast. In addition, participants will receive critical education on statewide and national policy and funding trends that will affect our broadband future.
